Looking for a way to review equations of parallel lines? In this activity students will sort pairs of equations as either parallel or not parallel while working at a level that is just right for them. This product contains three sets of 12 cards but at three different levels. In level 1 (reaching target) all equations will be given in slope intercept form. In level 2 (target) students will have to convert some equations into slope intercept form to determine if they are parallel or not. In level 3 (beyond target) students will have to use the distributive property and combine like terms to put the equations in slope intercept form. (Take a look at the preview for sample cards from each level.) The product also comes with a set of discussion questions that can help guide an end of class discussion.
-3 sets of 12 sorting cards
-Overview of 3 levels
-Discussion questions and sample answers
This product can be combined with Perpendicular or Not
