This deck of 20 cards is perfect to assess whether your students understand the concept of how slopes of lines determine whether lines are parallel, perpendicular or neither. Students will be asked to fill in blanks for slopes and y-intercepts to create specific equations. Students must understand how to use slope-intercept form and point-slope form. Students must be able to go from standard form to slope-intercept form. They should be able to recognize whether lines are parallel or perpendicular on a graph. They should know what an opposite reciprocal is. If students can complete this deck successfully, then you will have confidence that they understand this concept as well as many other important algebra concepts!
