Each year I made folders for my paraprofessionals so that each para knew their role in the classroom. I followed our school board guidelines for handling students who were Emotionally Disturbed and Behavior Disorders. I had a meeting at the beginning of the year with my paraprofessionals and read all guidelines and expectations and they had to sign a form saying they understood the expectations. The para then had the folder for the remaining of the school year. This worked out very well and I had minimal problems through out the school years. You can modify accordingly to your school board policies.
