-Parents are always asking me how they can help thier students with reading at home. As students enter more intermediate grades the books get longer and many parents feel like they can't discuss them because they haven't read the book. I created this brochure as an intro to my intervention reading class and included things that parents can talk to their students about with any book.

-The brochure focuses mainly on:
1. Comparing fiction and non-fiction texts and being able to identify genres.
2. List of generic questions that parents can ask their kids about any book. These questions stems are organized by reading strategies and skills.

-I have also used the brochure during conferences and circled the strategies or skills that the student struggles the most with so parents can help reinforce those skills at home.
