Parent-Teacher Conferences can be a very stressful time. I have complied some forms that I use during conferences to help planning and organizing a more bearable task.
In this “Essentials” pack you will find:
→ Welcome Poster (EDITABLE/color/black & white)
→ Schedule Poster (EDITABLE/color/black & white)
→ Teacher Notes (EDITABLE/color/black & white)
→ Glow and Grow Parent Take-Away (EDITABLE/color/black & white)
→ Parent “Love” Note (color/black & white)
**These forms are available as EDITABLE PDFs, as well as print first and fill later.
Post on your door to let families know they have arrived in the right place. You can also use this space to direct them to a basket of “love” notes.
Parent Love Notes
Students love getting mail. Take this opportunity to have your students’ families write them a note. Hopefully you are running on schedule, but having something to do can help make up for a small delay.
With your welcome poster and love notes, posting a copy of your schedule can remind families of their assigned time. You’ve never had a parent arrive 15 minutes late and still hope to talk to you?
This serves as a place to organize your thoughts before meeting with the students’ families. Space has been left for you to note any additional points you made, or questions/follow-up needs from the families.
Glow and Grow
This is a take away I like to provide for my families. Often I have seen a mom scramble in her purse for a scrap piece of paper. The back of this paper can be a place to take notes. But it is best as a reminder of your conversion – what are you most proud of in this student, and what can they continue to work on.
Again, these forms are available as both EDITABLE PDFs or a Standard PDF in which you can print and hand-write your forms. If using the editable PDF, and you want to digitally save each students' forms, you will need to (File, Save As) so you can save each file separately as the student's name.
