November is parent-teacher-student conference time in our district. Each year, our middle school offers “arena” conferencing. This means that all of the teachers in the building sit around the perimeter of the gym. Parents and students enter during their pre-determined time and work through the teachers that the student sees each day. Usually, the order is determined by which teacher has the shortest line! Since time is short, I put together this sheet to help us navigate through the session in a somewhat orderly fashion. Parents are encouraged to take the form at the end of the conference. I will also use this sheet throughout the year if additional conference time is useful. I teach in Washington State so some of the information reflects our state-wide standardized testing terms. However, the download is a Microsoft Word document that may be adjusted to fit your school and state.
I am new to Teachers Pay Teachers and will be adding a lot more material. In the meantime, check out my options for:
• The Hobbit
• The Declaration of Independence
• Writing a Memoir
