As a Reading Specialist, I hear this question frequently from parents. I created this guide to give parents information, activities, and suggestions for helping their children at home. This guide is perfect for parents because it explains reading concepts in clear, easy-to-understand language. You don't have to be an education professional to understand this parent guide!

There are multiple ways to use this guide. Give this guide to 5th grade parents at the beginning of the school year to help them guide their children in reading at home. Or, give this guide to fourth grade parents at the end of the school year to help them give their children a head start in 5th grade. Depending on your preference, give parents a few pages at a time or all of the pages at once.
