Use Google maps, math budgeting and internet research to take your students on a trip across the country for a camping vacation in a national park. Students make decisions about what car to drive, what motel to stay in, which private tour within a park to take. They also budget for food, gasoline, overnight stays and souvenirs. Worksheets are set up for ten different national parks. Answers are available for some questions, but other answers vary depending on the park chosen, distance traveled and student choices about cars, motels and tours. Also included is a lesson plan for guiding your students in using Google maps. This 27-page download is in pdf format.
