This fun and engaging game will have your students recognising their base ten blocks and numbers!
You can play this game in small groups or pairs.
Each player will need a toy car (or other marker like a counter or chip).
Play 2 ways:
One person is the caller. The caller chooses a game card and says the number on the card. All students ‘drive’ their car to the correct space in the car park represented by base ten blocks; or
Players take it in turns to draw a card. Players share the card with each other (depending on ability, players could read it aloud or just look to ‘match’). All students drive their car to the correct space in the car park.
Continue with the game until students have practised the numbers on all cards.
Included are parking lots for numbers 1-30 represented by base ten blocks, as well as game cards for both in color and black and white options.
