This fun and engaging game will have your students learning sight words!
You can play this game in small groups or pairs.
Each player will need a toy car (or other marker like a counter or chip).
Play 2 ways:
One person is the caller. The caller chooses a game card and says the sight word on the card. All students ‘drive’ their car to the correct space in the car park; or
Players take it in turns to draw a card. Players share the card with each other (depending on ability, players could read it aloud or just look to ‘match’). All students drive their car to the correct space in the car park.
Continue with the game until students have practised the blends and diagraphs on all cards.
Included are parking lots for sight words, as well as game cards for both in color and black and white options.
