This powerpoint can be used as an introduction to satire and parody (say perhaps before reading Mark Twain). The powerpoint gives a brief explanation of the difference between the two, then through a series of advertisement parodies and company satires, students can interactively participate and decide which is which. There is also a culminating project at the end. If you would like the complete project assignment handout, purchase my Parody and Satire Project
This PowerPoint is easy to edit. I created this for an 11th grade class. It includes references to alcohol abuse, eating disorders, etc. You can remove any slides you feel are inappropriate for your student population and grade level.
