Teaching writing, especially to a standardized test, isn't always easy or engaging for the students. It is often a tedious task with everyone becoming frustrated at the end.
Throughout the years I have created a small, but extremely useful package that helps not only the classroom teacher, but also the students.
Students stay engaged, interact, and are held responsible for their own learning by participating in a gallery walk with peers, discussing essay examples, closely reading the rubric, outlining their essay, and self/peer editing!
