This set of nonfiction reading comprehension passages and questions is so helpful for digging deep... and it's perfect if you want to get your students ready for state testing that heavily relies on students finding text evidence. Use this as a teaching tool, an actual assessment, independent practice, peer collaboration... however you most need it. This resource was modeled after PARCC’s and LEAP 2025’s “Research Simulation Task,” and includes standards alignment. Each text and question mirror the rigor required of 5th graders also found on other standardized assessments: ACT Aspire, STARR, Smarter Design, FSA, and others.
