### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

These part-part-whole products were developed to guide students to a conceptual understanding of number families. Part-part-whole is a method of teaching children how numbers are related, forming a solid foundation for number concepts.

These resources are loaded with print and go worksheets and exciting center activities to help students gain a solid understanding of number concepts before moving onto numbers greater than ten.

Because recognizing finger numbers is an important beginner skill that some of my Gr. 2 students are still working on, I have avoided using numerals as much as possible. It is the students’ responsibility to subitize, (automatically recognize) the number depicted by fingers, and write the correct response in numeral form (or finger form if teacher instructs). Please download this free little sampling of both Part-Part-Whole Fingers Products to see if it will suit your little ones.
