My kiddos have trouble doing the traditional long division. I saw another teacher teach this method and the Box Division Method, and I have not turned back. Partial Quotient Division pulls out parts of the quotient at a time. There is more than one way to solve a problem using Partial Quotient Division. So, students that don't know their facts well can use the ones they know and not get stuck. Partial Quotient Division also helps the kids to not forget to put a digit in their quotient.
