Use this fun game to help your students practice division using partial quotients. The product includes instructions and points chart, a visual sample round of the game, a poster for division vocabulary, and player recording sheets,
How to Play:
Player 1 rolls 3 dice and uses the 3 numbers on the dice to create a 3-digit number.
Both players choose a divisor box on the recording sheet and record the number in the box as the dividend.
Each player solves the division problem using the partial quotient strategy and the players check each other’s work for accuracy.
Player 2 rolls one die to determine how many points he/she gets.
Player 1 rolls one die to determine how many points he/she gets.
Both players record their points in the table on the recording sheet.
Play continues with Player 2 rolling 3 dice and repeating the steps that follow. Once a divisor box has been used, it may not be used again.
At the end of eight rounds, players add up their points. The player with the highest score wins.
