I have the students use these all the time in circle activities. It is designed for students to self-grade. Fun to use, my kids enjoy it anyway. It is lighthearted but also meaningful. So enjoy the circle without grading during it! You just enter the numbers in the book later.
They grade themselves on things like eye contact, respecting group norms, their participation, etc.
Kids are shockingly honest in self-grading in my experience. And it is one less thing for the teacher to do. And, the ones who aren't honest, it does not matter because they can give themselves 100% all they want on self-graded assignments but it does not change anything because those kinds of kids typically have such a dearth of missing assignments that a few A's on self-graded stuff is irrelevant in the big picture of their grade.
As always, if you purchase anything from me, I am happy to email you the same item as a Word document so you can individualize it to your classroom.
