This conversation-based learning system, which has two students face-to-face asking questions and responding, will help develop the conversational skills of your new learners. After years of frustration of not being able to find decent materials I developed a system that works very well and one that students buy into!
The following beginning topic areas need to be covered first in class:
--Asking someone about someone's name (3rd Person, singular)
--Asking how someone is (3rd Person, singular).
--Masculine/Feminine endings on adjectives.
--Asking the date (today/tomorrow).
--Asking the day (today/tomorrow).
--Spelling two familiar words with Spanish alphabet.
Note: the student answering does not see the question, but rather has to listen to his/her partner.
This product contains two sheets each with 14 question/answer (or statement/response) items. A third sheet accompanies which is to be used by student answering as a cue sheet. In addition to cues, student will also see ¿______? which indicates there is no cue given and that he/she should come up with the answer. Also included is a three page explanation of how to execute this activity so that it will be successful and your students will find meaning with it and buy into it.
Product may be tweaked to adjust for days and dates.
