“READING TO SOMEONE” helps students read independently and reinforces their reading skills.
To help with taking turn while reading, we have created these “Partner Readers” for the beginning of the school year. The students will each get their own book and read the page that is highlighted. The highlighting will help the students remember when it is their turn to read. It will also serve as a visual cue that both partners get a turn, which can help relieve the stress of “when will it be MY turn” for some students.
Just think of the valuable social interactions being developed during this time!
