To keep your students accountable during partner reading, ask them to turn in these self-assessments at the end of partner reading time. It will help them stay focused and on-task and will allow you to keep documentation on their behavior and progress. For my own use, I draw pictures to represent each sentence in the large area available next to each sentence. You may or may not do this, depending on the level of readers you have.
