If you are teaching a lesson over the levels of organization, you will probably be teaching a lesson over parts of a cell. This bundle contains 5 different engaging lessons to cover these topics.
The first is Levels of Organization Lesson
that provides a passage with guided questions to ensure comprehension. Additionally there are short answer questions to further their thought process. This lesson alone would be great for a sub as it is very detailed and very little prep involved.
The second activity is Parts of Cell and Organization Frayer Models
. This is great if you are really working on building that vocabulary which is necessary, especially for parts of a cell.
To help further build the vocabulary and give more context for the parts of a cell, the third activity is Parts of a Cell QR Code
. This is great to give either as homework or to encourage the use of technology in the classroom. Added bonus... it is differentiated! They look the same, but there is an advanced version that includes more high school organelles like the golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, lysosomes, centrioles, and ribosomes. Not only are students expected to describe what each of the organelles do, they are also going to compare what organelles are in plant and animal cells with a Venn Diagram!
The fourth activity you receive is great for review at the end of a unit. It is Parts of a Cell and Levels of Organization QR Sort Activity
. This is a sort where you cut the QR codes in half and the students are expected to match the correct word with definition. When the match them correctly, the code scans. Worksheet and answer key provided to help keep them on task and accountable.
The fifth activity is my freebie Plant and Animal Cell Menu Board
(no added cost). While you could download this separate, I thought it might be nice to have all of these files together. This download has a list of different activities that center around cells and their functions. Some are also in other downloads, but it never hurts to review! Plus this is designed to work in centers and allow students to have differentiated work.
Separately, these 5 downloads would cost you almost $11. Buy this bundle and SAVE 20%! You will have activities and lessons planned and ready to go which will save you time.
