Product Description
Teacher Friends,
This is a fully editable resource that contains the following Center/Station activities:

Sorting Center
This Center consists of a total of 126 cards including the ones that name each Part of Speech (63 cards in each set). Each card is labeled either “Set 1” or “Set 2” in the upper right hand corner to avoid mixing them up. The sets contain definitions of each part of speech as well as numerous examples. An answer key is included!
Tip #1:
Split this group of students in half during activity. When the first half of students have completed with Set 1, ask them to complete Set 2 (and visa versa).
Tip #2:
Remind students to have their work checked by the teacher before switching to the next set of cards. You may choose to allow them to check their own work using the answer keys provided.
Tip #3:
Laminate these task cards and use this activity years from now!
Tip #4:
Use the title sheet provided to label this center! Tape it to the wall over their work area or onto the table/desk where they will be working. This will help with classroom management as students transition from one center to another.

Task Card Fill-in-the-blank Center
There are 40 Parts of Speech Task cards included in this Center! Each one has a picture prompt. Students are asked to rewrite the sentences as they insert the correct part of speech. They will use the student response sheet included in this resource to record their answers.
Tip #1: Remind students that they must use correct tenses when inserting parts of speech into the blank. In addition, remind students to keep subject and verb agreement in mind as they fill in each blank.
Tip #2:
Print the Student Response Sheet double sided and ask your students to complete at least ten task cards before moving to the next center. Completely optional!
Tip #3:
Laminate these task cards and use this activity years from now!

A rubric is included on each of the twenty-five sheets for your grading convenience and for the convenience of students, so that they know what is expected of them.
