This hands-on, fun activity is a great way for students to practice identifying the different parts of speech. It is one thing to be able to define the parts of speech and provide examples, but being able to identify the various parts of speech in the "real world" is takes this skill to the next level. This document is two pages long. The first page can be used to activate prior knowledge before starting the collage activity to make sure all students have a basic understanding of the various parts of speech. Next, students can begin the collage activity. Using old magazines, students will identify and cut out words associated with the various parts of speech and glue them down in the appropriate places on the collage worksheet. The finished products are usually very eye-catching and make for a fun bulletin board!
