This quick unit focuses on identifying and classifying nouns, verbs and adjectives.
There are several practice activities that help students identify the three parts of speech and then add them together to make complete sentences.
For the final product, students will use the list of fall themed nouns, verbs and adjectives to create a map of their Fall Town.
Here are some examples:
A place in their town could be a corn field (noun) where farmers (noun) are harvesting (verb) their crops (noun).
Another example could be a haunted (adjective) house (noun) where kids are trick-or-treating (verb).
After they use their parts of speech graphic organizers to create their map, they will write a story using those same parts of speech in their writing.
