This s'more themed game is used to help students practice identifying the parts of speech in a sentence (verb, adverb, adjective, noun, pronoun, and preposition) in a fun way. It's a great way to practice grammar and parts of speech in the summer or autumn season.
I use this game quite frequently at the end of the school year and the beginning of the school year to review a variety of skills. It's great in reading centers, with partners, or for a group of up to four students.
Students answer a game card with a sentence on it where they have to identify the part of speech underlined. If they get it correct, they get to take a chance card. The chance card may help them build their s'more or may not help them at all! It's all about the luck of the draw and that's what makes the game so exciting! The first person to build their s'more completely wins!
There are 30 game cards included and 12 chance cards. I play with double the amount of chance cards (2 sets of 12) so I have included two sets for you for easy printing.
