This Parts of Speech resource was created as a bell-ringer activity. But there are endless ways that they can be used: exit slips, partner work, extra practice, differentiated work, test-prep, etc.
I like bell ringers because I find that having something to do at the start of class settles my kiddos well.
I use them either:
You can use these with younger students who are learning these concepts for the first time, or, like I do, you can use these with older students who just need a quick review. My students have learning disabilities which require them to constantly be reviewing what they've learned, and this is a great way for them to do just that.
Each Page has 4 bell ringers that assess the following skills:
1. Identifying Nouns
2. Identifying Common/Proper Nouns
3. Identifying Singular/Plural Nouns
4. Identifying Collective Nouns
5. Identifying Pronouns
6. Identifying Verbs
7. Identifying Helping Verbs
8. Identifying Verb Tenses
9. Labeling Verb Tenses
10. Identifying Adjectives
11. Identifying Adverbs
12. Identifying Adjectives And Adverbs
13. Identifying Conjunctions

Please Leave Feedback and let me know what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong.
