What grade level is this Parts of Speech Escape Room best suited for?
I designed this parts of speech review to be used with my 6th grade Language Arts class. It would also be appropriate for 5th-grade and some 7th-grade classrooms. However, please use your professional discretion before purchasing to make sure it is a good fit for your classroom.
How long does this Parts of Speech Escape Room take?
You know your learners best! In most of my classes, my students take 20-35 minutes to complete this escape. In a 60-minute class period, this allows time for me to complete a warm-up, take attendance, and get kids in the spirit. It gives them time to work through the four breakouts and still leaves time in the end for a reflection and clean-up.
What prep is required?
If you use the paper version, you'll need to print and assemble the stations. Don't fret - prep is minimal and will take about 10-15 minutes! If you use the digital version, the only prep I suggest is that you take time to work through the escape on your own before assigning it to students. Then you have time to troubleshoot or work through kinks without pressure. You can always email me at info@heynatayle.com with questions!
*Seller's Note: The digital parts of speech escape room requires you to access Google Slides created by someone outside your domain. Please check with your tech department to ensure that students will be able to access these links without firewall or security issues. It is your responsibility to check this before purchasing. Any feedback left for tech issues is not a reflection of the quality of resource.
