Do you have a Word Wall that is just taking up space because you are required to have it, but you don't know how to teach with it?
Integrate your instruction by using a word wall that is organized according to the Parts of Speech. When you are teaching, and come across a new word, discuss with your students the meaning of the word AND what part of speech it fits into. (Squeeze your grammar mini lessons into your other subjects!)
This file contains the headers that you could use for nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, proper nouns and prepositions. This file does NOT contain the actual words which you will use on your wall as those vary according to grade, subject, standards and teacher preference. You can choose to use a prepared list of words you already have on file, write your words by hand as you encounter them, or use the provided black/white banner page to print and add your words to.
I think that using your word wall as a way to teach and reinforce grammar is a better option than just throwing any words up onto the wall in alphabetical order!
