Product Description
Friends,
Included in this resource is a writing activity with 25 Picture Prompts to help students review Parts of Speech! A rubric is included on each of the twenty-five sheets for your grading convenience and for the convenience of students, so that they know exactly what is expected of them. Each sheet is fully editable if you would like to change the amount of points, parts of of speech required, etc.

Directions included in resource:
"Every photograph has a story! Write a story about the picture above. You may relate your story to a personal experience, or use your imagination! As you write your story, include the following parts of speech listed below. In addition, underline and label each part of speech."

Tip #1:
Allow your students to refer to the “Parts of Speech Cheat Sheet” with POS terms and definitions to complete this activity. Alternatively, challenge your students to complete this activity with no assistance!

Tip #2:
Allow your students to choose a picture prompt that relates to their own experiences or interests.

Tip #3:
Use this resource for a center or station activity! If you choose to do so, use the Writing Center sheet with abbreviations on it as a center title or label. Tape it to the wall above the space where students are working; alternatively, place it on the desk/table where students are working. This will help with classroom management as students transition from one station to another. Students can use the abbreviations to assist them as they label the parts of speech.
