This concrete visual lesson is designed for students to begin their exploration/understanding parts of groups. The lesson begins with pictures to aid students in their problem solving. By the end of the lesson, students must create their own pictures to solve the parts of groups problems. The reflection pushes students' thinking even further by asking if they could think of any other way to solve these problems. This lesson is designed to use with fourth grade CC.4.NF.4b and 4c.
