Dear Pen Pal,
Did you know that commas are not as tricky as most kids believe? You should look at this great set that helps teach how to use commas within letters! It'll help you and your class understand and use commas properly.

Mrs. Ray

Let's be real, commas can be tricky and the rules need to be stated, reviewed, and practiced often. Not only that, students need a range of practice that helps set the mechanics of writing a letter into their brain!

This set is perfect to watch your students soar. There are 2 assessments within this set -->Pre-assessment and Post-Assessment. These quizzes are not your typical "write it" or "pick the best answer." Each question requires students to bring color to their answer. Kids love to color/paint, soooo why not add that to assessments? Also, since the writing for the assessments is LOW, it is perfect for the slower writers.

Along with the engaging assessments, there are classroom visuals for each part of a letter - Header, Greeting, Body, Closing, and Signature - in 4 variations to help match your needs.

There are also 5 different comma "Rules" that are able to be displayed in the class, and mini versions (All in color OR b/w) for your students to add to their interactive notebooks. You will also find various practice activities (We Quiz cards and Scoot!), practice pages, interactive notebook pieces, formatted pages to support students writing letters AND answer keys!
