Montessori three part (or "nomenclature") cards are used to teach a child the names of the various parts of something, in this case an anthill. There are three cards for each part, a control card which has both the picture and the label, a card with only the picture and a card with only the label. The child’s job is to match the cards, (you can find more detailed instructions on how to give a 3 part card lesson when you search online). He learns the vocabulary of each part as he does this. Each part is isolated on its card. This takes away any and all distractions from learning the specific part.
Included parts are: Chamber for babies - (eggs & larvae), chamber for food, chamber for garbage, and a chamber for the queen.
Set includes cards ready to print, cut and laminate.
Also included is a page that can be used for the children to make their own "Parts of an anthill" books. Print as many as you need!
