Need a fun but challenging way to review the parts of the sentence?
This zip file contains a Powerpoint presentation with 35 different sentences to dissect, 20 different BINGO game cards, and a BINGO key.
*Pass out BINGO cards to students (I give mine M&Ms as markers)
*Put one of the sentences on the board via the Powerpoint
*Give students a minute or two to find the subject, verb, complement, prepositional phrases, and indirect objects. They may have more than one on their card for some sentences, and some sentences will not produce any answers for them.
*Check off each "answer" on the key to ensure student-winners actually got the right answers.
Note: I have used some words for more than one thing (i.e. "jumping" is used in the subject in one sentence and in the verb in another); therefore, students must get the correct part of the sentence, not just look for the word.
Use this to your classroom any way you want! If you want to not use one of the categories, you don't have to. BINGO still works if you take out one of the categories.
