This is a project students really enjoy. Pascal's triangle has several unique patterns that show up with the numbers in the triangle. Students use their calculator to perform basic operations in addition, multiplication, division to find the patterns within the triangle. This is an introduction to the uniqueness of Pascal's Triangle and the number arrangement. Students are instructed to make their own Pascal's triangle on the blank template provided. It will introduce students to unique patterns which show up when multiples of 2,3,4,5,6,7,even numbers, odd numbers are shaded within the triangle. The exercises included are an excellent activity for students learning to use calculators. A sample of a final project can be seen on the first page of this packet (see cover page). Students end up with a hexagon showing many patterns.
