This handout is centered around a story I found in Quant à Moi, called, Une Mésaventure. I designed pre-reading and post-reading activities and annotated the text so that it is less of a grammar exercise and more practice using grammar in context.
The pre-reading activity has students skim the story and put the ACTIONS from the story in order on a timeline. This will help them determine which verbs should be in the PQP.
While the students are reading, they have to 1) circle whether each verb identifies an action or a description 2) conjugate the verb in the passé composé, imparfait, or PQP.
