This worksheet contains 10 sentences in English, which students must translate into French using the passé composé. The sentences primarily focus on the following verbs with irregular past participles: etre, avoir, vouloir, boire, lire, voir, mettre, prendre, faire, pleuvoir.
This worksheet correlates wonderfully with Chapter 7 of the Bien Dit! HMH Level 1 textbook series.
Answer key included.
**NOTE** Many of these sentences would normally be written using the imparfait and the passé composé together. However, at this point in the textbook, my students have not learned the imparfait yet. They are only just beginning the past tenses. Therefore, to native and fluent speakers, the answer will sound incorrect; however, they are correct for the level of knowledge that students in Ch. 7 of the series have. Language is progressive, after all :)
