For ages I wondered how I could get the students to visualize the three parts to the passé compose and I finally cracked it with this card game.
Included here at the cards - laminate them and then cut each one in half to create 1 set
Ideas on how to use the card game
A random generator in Excel which you could project and get students to create the sentences - either by putting them on the table or by sticking them to a board with blutak and showing them to the teacher (AfL)
The students have to dress the tense - the t-shirts are the subject pronouns, the auxiliary verbs are the boxers/pants (uk), and the past participles are the trousers. Have fun telling they have forgotten their pants or are going topless with this fun game ! (really works on their level!!)
