Teach "¿De dónde eres?" "Yo soy de ___," "¿Cómo te llamas?" and "Me llamo___" in context with this great communicative activity! Included in this document are a pretend passport for Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Students will fill it out with their names (see my list of Hispanic names for purchase if you'd like to also assign a Hispanic name), birthdate, issue and expiration date, and signature. Then students will fill out a map of Central America with the name of each country where it belongs. You can then teach the students how to ask and answer where they are from and how to ask and answer what their names are. Then have the students find one student from each Central American country and write a complete sentence to state where six of their classmates are from. Students have a lot of fun with this!
