Product Description
This PowerPoint is for introducing the main reasons why we use the past perfect continuous (a.k.a. past perfect progressive) tense: Duration in the past and Cause and Effect of something in the past.

It includes examples to show the students and then has a writing activity where the students make sentences from prompts as a class. They are also asked to make their own sentences for the production phase.

I use the PowerPoint every year as my lead-in to the past perfect continuous tense for grade 12 EFL learners at a private school in Thailand. After going through this PowerPoint show I move on to the exercises in their coursebook and/or a worksheet.

This PowerPoint makes the grammar a little more fun in that they can make silly sentences and I encourage them to make them about their friends in class which helps lighten the mood.

I hope you have fun with it.
