This project is divided into 3 parts (past, present and future) that can work together as one large project, or be broken into separate pieces. For example, the Past project works well at the start of the year while the Future part is a good year end project, especially for high school students looking to the future (i.e. seniors.)

Each of the three parts has the option of 6 project types:
Narrative Essay, Memoir, Epic Poem, Short Film, PowerPoint Lesson, and Illustrated Children's Book.
Each of these project types includes an instruction sheet (with variations required for past, present or future), grading rubric, and self-reflection worksheet. An overview sheet is included.

When completing all three together, I like to require students to use a different project type for each section so they are explore different formats and requirements. They might do an epic poem for the past, but a children's book for the present and a narrative essay about the future they'd like. This makes a great year end project that uses reflection and creativity.

Documents are in both the new Word 2007-2013 format (.docx) as well as Word 1997-2003 Legacy format (.doc).
