An A3 sized, colourful boardgame that will help students to practice asking and answering questions using the past tenses (simple, continuous, present perfect). It has simple instructions and has suggested phrases to help guide students.
You use a coin to determine how many squares to move (heads=1 square, tails=2 squares)
I use this game with all levels, and get the more advanced students to ask for further information and encourage the speaker to give extended answers.
I laminated mine to make it look even more inviting and so it will last a long time.
I use it in both individual and group lessons, and it can last anywhere from 25 minutes to one hour.
As a follow on writing activity I get students to choose one of the questions and write about their own experience.
