In this resource, you will find activities to do using the articles found on Scholastic.com regarding the events of September 11. Included are QR code cards for each article (total of 16 articles) that students can use their tablets, Ipads, Chromebooks or any other QR scanner device. If you do not have access to a QR app/scanner, simply scan before class and print out the articles for your class to use.
Reading strategies covered in these activities include analyzing characters, comparing point of view, examining primary source documents, summarizing, writing reflective poetry and constructing written responses.
I've also included a simple craftivity for your students to make. Use the banners to decorate your classroom, hallway, or send home with students to hang up at home. You can also hang students' writing beneath them for an attractive and intentional hallway display.
