Increasing Accountability through Student Agendas
I use this product to help increase student accountability in class. While I intend it for my class (because I cannot hold students accountable for other classes), I do allow and encourage students to track information for other classes in their binder as well. How do I use this?
First, I print the binder cover and students insert the cover on the binder they have purchased for the class. Next, on the first Monday of each month, I give students the monthly outline template. This is printed in duplex with page one having student goals, opening to the two-page set up with the monthly calendar, and the first weekly template on the back of the second page of the monthly outline. Each day, students complete the bell ringer and class as normal. During closure, they are to track class activities, major assignments, and homework responsibilities on their weekly outline. Each week students receive the new weekly outline, with the third week including a grade check. This rotation is helpful is getting students to take ownership of their progress. Should it become necessary, I sometimes have parents sign the weekly template on Thursday night to be checked on Friday morning for extra credit. Parents have appreciated this effort as well.

Additionally, the frame included is one of my favorites from Tracee Orman. You can find this free by visiting her store at https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Tracee-Orman.
Like this? Because I teach Americal Lit, I created a matching Teacher Organizer. This is also editable, and you can find it at https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Patriotic-Teacher-Binder-Organizer-EDITABLE-2612539. Please note, if you purchase the teacher binder, I have included only the PDF of the student agenda, which is not in an editable format. To get the .doc format for editing, you will need to buy this product.
