This product is 9 pages of classwork, homework, and assessments on recognizing number patterns, finding patterns and rules in tables, and extending tables. I created these because my math curriculum did not have much to offer on tables and finding the rule in patterns, yet students often struggle with this concept.
These questions directly reflect typical end-of-grade test questions and require problem solving.
These items have been used in a 3rd grade classroom, as they directly correlate with the 3rd Grade CC Objective:
CCSS.Math.Content.3.OA.D.9 Identify arithmetic patterns (including patterns in the addition table or multiplication table), and explain them using properties of operations.
This could also be used in a 4th grade classroom to teach the objective:
CCSS.Math.Content.4.OA.C.5 Generate a number or shape pattern that follows a given rule.
