Paul Revere's Ride Poem Analysis Worksheet
This great, interactive worksheet has students reading an excerpt from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's famous poem "Paul Revere’s Ride". As they read, students underline words and phrases that make Revere seem like a hero. They then work to develop their own definition of what a hero is and determine whether Revere's actions are worthy of describing him as a one.
This is a nice little activity for your unit on the American Revolution as it gets students to compare people they may know to a Founding Father. Each answer is essentially up to individual student opinions so an answer key was not included. I hope you enjoy it!
