I love giving anonymous gifts to the teachers in my school. If I see a teacher or staff member doing something really great for our school or for his/her students, I think it's important to recognize it. I usually hang a small token of appreciation on their door knob and leave a tag asking them to "pay it forward" by gifting someone else with a small present. This tag is perfect to attach to a small gift, and it explains the process of paying it forward. I attached the tag to a small chalkboard that had a teacher quote on it, and I asked that they enjoy the gift and then pass it on to someone else who goes the extra mile in our school. I do this every year during "Teacher Appreciation" and the "Week of Respect," and it's always a big hit! This is also a great activity for clubs like the Student Council or Kindness Club to show their appreciation to your school staff. Please enjoy and encourage your staff to "Pay if Forward."
