Teach money skills with a motivating, age-appropriate theme! This is a set of differentiated task cards great for special education life skills classes. There are three sets of cards included in this product:
-Matching bills (9 task cards): Students match real or pretend US dollar bills ($1 and $5 are used) to pictures on each task card to "pay for" an item from the Subway menu.
-Matching coins and bills (13 task cards): Students match real or pretend US dollar bills and coins ($1, $5, penny, nickel, dime and quarter are used) to pictures on each task card to "pay for" an item from the Subway menu.
-Next dollar (13 task cards): On each card, students choose which of two sets of bills ($1 and $5 used) will be enough money to pay for the given item from the Subway menu. Students will need to use the "next dollar" concept, as prices are given in dollars and cents so they will need to round up to the nearest dollar.
For each set of task cards, there are also additional suggestions given for differentiating the cards even further, so this could be used with a wide variety of skill levels. Great for motivating practice of money skills, or even as preparation for a community-based instruction trip to a fast food restaurant!
