This resource is based on a unit that starts with The Day After Peace Documentary by Jeremy Gilley. The documentary and a comprehensive resource guide is available at www.peaceoneday.org.
This 3-page preview includes a word-association, conflict circle, and short answer activity. These activities can be completed individually, in groups, or as a whole class. The preview is designed to have students start to brainstorm about peace and conflict, and can help teachers gauge prior knowledge.
This preview could be used without the peaceoneday curriculum as well.
These work great as openings or bell ringers! If you're looking for an extension/research activity to pair for this unit, check out this Areas of Conflict Template on the Kerr's Class site: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Areas-of-Conflict-Template-Activity-1371940.
