Perfect for September 11, and inspired by my friend Kelli, this is the hall display project that our first and fourth grade buddies will be working on together this year! The squares in this quilt are the lines from a “five senses” peace poem. Included in this resource, you will find several different options for the center square of your quilt as well as quilt squares with and without cloud borders. If you like the cloud borders and kid graphic, but need to print without color, just choose grayscale on your printer options.
Print the quilt squares on regular copy paper, printing one or more for each student. Students complete the thought starter in their own words and draw a picture to accompany their thought about peace in each square. I hope you enjoy creating this Peace Quilt with your students!
