Help your students get ready for spring testing!! All in one lesson to help your students practice the difference between plural nouns, singular possessive nouns, and plural possessive nouns. This SMARTboard lesson provides both a short mini lesson in all three and then it is followed up with a fun game to practice identifying whether a sentence needs a plural noun, a singular possessive noun, or a plural possessive noun to make it complete. A gameboard with a scoreboard makes it fun and interesting for kids to practice what is usually a difficult skill. All slides are self checking and all slides are linked for easy play back to the gameboard/scoreboard slide. If you don't want to use it as a game, just ignore the point values and scoreboard. Students will be expected to not only choose the correct form of the word that is spelled correctly with an apostrophe, but they will also need to name whether it was a plural noun, a singular possessive noun, or a plural possessive noun. Great for large group playing as teams, small groups led by the teacher, or even independently in a center or station. Created with Smart Notebook 11. Perfect for grades 3-6. 2nd grade could also use with teacher direction and instruction.
